Trademark Registration Challenged
Trademark registration allegedly obtained through misrepresentation of facts, fraud and forgery
In 2007 Ceasefire Industries obtained a Trademark Registration on the grounds that they had owned the mark since 1989 " through their predecessor".
It is a well known fact that the company Real Value Appliances Ltd. had applied for and was the original owner of the Trademark in 1989. Real Value Appliances declared a sick company in 1997 and was subsequently wound up by the BIFR in 2002.
It is therefore impossible that Ceasefire Industries acquired the trademark "through their predecessor"
The Trademark Registration has been challenged and the company has allegedly submitted forged and fraudulent sale documents to the Registrar of Trademarks to support their claim.
